With versatility and skill, Suzanne Smart’s oil paintings transport us to another world.  Using  lightness and dark, her images of daily life remind us of the beauty in our lives which we often overlook.   She chooses images which we often miss:  fleeting shadows, clouds, changing colors of nature.   Sometimes quiet, sometimes majestic, her work captures beautiful transient moments of light.  With her paintings she skillfully records the New Mexican landscape with its changing light, spacious vistas and colors, its mesas, mountains and valleys serving her continuous inspiration.
